“Older women likewise are to be reverent in behavior, not slanderers or slaves to much wine.
They are to teach what is good, and so train the young women to love their husbands and
children, to be self-controlled, pure, working at home, kind, and submissive to their own
husbands, that the word of God may not be reviled.” -Titus 2:3-5
While the ministry of Women of the Journey encompasses many things, Christian mentorship is
at the heart of it. We want to offer the opportunity for women to mentor and be mentored, but what would that
look like in a practical sense?
-Spending time learning about each other (in person, over the phone, texting, etc.)
-Bible studies together
-Praying together and for each other
-Meeting for coffee
-Sharing a meal
-Supporting one another through hardships
-Offering advice and guidance (mentor to mentee)
-Volunteering together
-Teaching one another practical skills (budgeting, cooking, changing a tire, any skill you’ve got that they want to learn)
-We can also offer some ways to get started (we currently have a discipleship study
available)
Women of the Journey is offering one-on-one mentorship opportunities for women and girls of all ages.
If you would like to be a mentor, or to be mentored, there’s a sign-up sheet as well as more information available in the foyer.
There’s no time limit for signing up, so take your time thinking and praying about it.
