The Landing exists to provide a safe place for students to process life and the struggles that accompany it, provide tools to help them live emotionally and spiritually healthy lives, and point them toward the freedom found in Jesus Christ.
9 “How can a young person stay on the path of
purity? By living according to your word.”
— Psalms 119:9
The Landing is geared for hurting teens, along with those teens that need an extra nudge in the right direction. It guides teens to open up and unpack their day and week, while encouraging them to share.
It seeks to provide a safe place for all students to find hope, healing, and purpose as they grow closer to Jesus Christ. Through utilizing The Landing curriculum and by incorporating small groups, students will gain the tools they need to process through their hurts, hang-ups, and habits.
Ultimately, The Landing is a safe place where students can openly talk about their struggles — free of judgement, find the incredible hope and power of Jesus Christ as they watch God change them from the inside out.
The Landing meets every Friday 7:00—9:00 pm, while the large and small group sessions of Celebrate Recovery are meeting.
To participate, just show up at a meeting!
- 7:00 pm—Large Group
● 8:00 pm—Small Group (gender specific)
● 8:40 pm—Debrief & Hang Time
● 9:00 pm—Pick up
The Landing is not a lecture style resource. It’s designed to get teenagers talking about and exploring new ways of thinking and doing. Weekly lessons follow a schedule that includes worship, small groups, games, teaching times, videos, and other activities. Every lesson closes with a time of commitment, reflection, or worship—and the Serenity Prayer. The students will also learn to use Student Journals to help explore their feelings and record their thoughts.
